Using it too close to your plants can cause them to hit their light saturation point, where too much light may actually cause them to grow slower. For this reason we provide PAR values in micromoles at a distance of every 6" from the light, and light saturation values for several garden plant varieties. Using this data will help ensure that your plants are grown within their optimal light range, so they never exceed their light saturation point.
